Misty mornings...

Its been cold this weekend, but nicely cold, cold in a clear crispy type way. I like it. I also like the fact we have no heating. I feel ill when I walk into buildings that do have heating. This morning there was a wonderful mist all around, I was lucky to have my camera on my person to catch the mist rising from the lake.

Remember the 5th of November

Last night I was in the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth Harbour. The lift left me with jelly legs it must be said, I was worried at the speed it went up and down that I would get stuck to the ceiling on the descent. It was a wonderful place to watch the various firework displays from above. Huge colourful rockets looked more like sparklers way down below.

On the horizon..

I took this picture from a hill called "The Mount" in Guildford, Surrey. A good 25 miles or so from the centre of London as the crow flys I would say. And a good hour and the rest in the car. I obviously had a pretty good zoom lense on, but all the same I was quite impressed that I could see the London eye and the Gerkin.
